Taken 2011-02-27, and one of the first sets taken with a camera (300D) mounted properly to my scope (8" Newt.) 28 30-second exposures, stacked and with dark frames subtracted. It was a typically bright night, and the scope still had not been thoroughly cleaned and colimated, and it shows. But, it meant I was finally getting into the game after many many years of wanting to, and the use of short exposures meant that I no longer was held back by a poorly-performing mount.or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bok Globules

M1 The Crab Nebula
